Hove Prom Parkrun takeover
Hello Parkrun!
It’s Poppy from Brighton and Hove FrontRunners here, writing this weeks run report.
It was a lovely sunny Saturday morning which brought nearly 900 people to the prom!
We had a takeover from Brighton and Hove FrontRunners, with 12 pacers and over 30 volunteers, and the graduation of our Couch to 5K course. It was great to see so many people step up and support such a great weekend staple, trying new roles, including many barcode scanning for the first time! I was quite relieved to be barcode scanning and not timekeeping.
I would really encourage anyone thinking about volunteering to give this a go, from pacing to marshalling and barcode scanning, there is a role for everyone!
Brighton and Hove Frontrunners is a LGBTQIA+ running club, we meet at 7pm on Wednesdays on the Prom by King Alfred (beryl bikes). We would love to see you there - if not we are parkrun regulars and will always find a friendly face in our signature purple <3
From everyone at Brighton and Hove Frontrunners a massive thank you, we all had lots of fun and will see you all again soon!
